Gregory LeNoir Allman (8. desember 1947–27. mai 2017) var ein USA-amerikansk songar, låtskrivar og musikar. Han var mest kjend som opphavleg medlem i The Allman Brothers Band. Allman vokste opp med ei interesse for rhythm and blues , og The Allman Brothers Band blanda dette med rock, jazz og country. Han skreiv fleire av dei mest kjende songane til bandet, som «Whipping Post», «Melissa» og «Midnight Rider». Allman hadde òg ein suksessrik solokarriere og gav ut sju studioalbum. Han voks opp med broren Duane i Nashville i Tennessee, før dei flytta til Daytona Beach i Florida.
Han og broren skipa The Allman Brothers Band i 1969, og dei slo gjennom i 1971 med konsertalbumet At Fillmore East. Kort tid etter omkom Duane i ei motorsykkelulukke. Bandet fortsette med Brothers and Sisters (1973) som vart det mest suksessrike albumet deira. Allman byrja solokarrieren sin med Laid Back same året, og var kanskje mest kjend for ekteskapet sitt med popstjerna Cher for resten av tiåret. Han fekk ein uventa sein hit med songen «I'm No Angel» i 1987, og det sjuande soloalbumet hans, Low Country Blues (2011), oppnådde den høgaste plasseringa på albumlista i karrieren hans. Gjennom heile livet sleit Allman med alkohol- og dopmisbruk, noko som danna grunnlaget for memoarane hans My Cross to Bear (2012). Det siste albumet hans, Southern Blood, kom ut posthumt den 8. september 2017.
Allman spelte Hammondorgel og gitar, og hadde ei sjelfull røyst. For arbeidet sitt innan musikk vart Allman rekna som ein pioner innan southern rock[1] og han fekk mange prisar, inkludert ein Grammy. Han vart innlemma i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame og Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Den markante røysta plasserte han på 70. plassen på lista til Rolling Stone over dei 100 beste songarane gjennom tidene.[2]
