Kjempefamilien (alt. maskeblomfamilien, Plantaginaceae) er ein familie i ordenen tofrøbladingar. Medlemane har blad i rosett (utan rosett hos Plantago arenaria). Dei har regelrett undersitjande firetalsblomar med lang griffel og fire lange mjølberarar, og kapsel.

Bacopa monnieri i Hyderabad i India.


Den utvida Plantaginaceae s.l./Veronicaceae har 90 slekter og om lag 1 700 artar. Den største slekta er Veronica med om lag 450 artar. Veronica inneheld òg underslektene Hebe, Parahebe og Synthyris, som tidlegare vart sett på som eigne slekter. Alle slektene i Plantaginaceae var tidlegare klassifisert i Scrophulariaceae (brunrotfamilien), unntatt der dette er oppgitt. Offisielle norske namn er oppgitt der dei eksisterer.
